ok, ive downloaded some programs such as msn linux versions that people have made and some desktop themes.. problem is.. how the freg do you install? which file am i trying to find to start the install???? im just used to my old windows where u just find install.exe.....

When you download, pay attention to the name of the file and which directory it was downloaded to. I presume you downloaded RPMs? Do a google on "How to install Linux RPM" and you should find a wealth of info on how to do it which would probably be more detailed than I can do here. If you come up empty, check back in and I'll try to help more when I have more time. Good Luck! 
edit: If you are using MDK 9.2 you can "click" on the rpm from either nautilus or konqueror and it should start the process..

different from rpm right?
