outlook express?

does anybody know how to make backups of email from outlook express? what i want to do is back up emails from WinME and then import it to Win2K, if that is possible

Tool, Options, Maintenanace, Store Folder... that will tell you where your messagges are kept, either change it to another drive, where all your messages will then be moved, or copy the whole directory.

You could also use File, Export, Messages, but everytime I've ever tried that, I've had trouble importing them back.

i just move the whole dir... the export thing is a pain.

%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\<id number>\Microsoft\Outlook Express

this will have your email stuff

%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application data\microsoft\address book

will have the (well duh!)
u only need the .wab file from here the .wa~ is a backup.
