i need a irc or a url for a download for a true 64bit amd dual opteron system i have but it is collecting dust from the lack of usage

pease i know someone out there will be so kind as to give me the hook up

not sure I understand what your looking for?

You want a Linux Distro that supports Opteron 64bit?

Gentoo have itianium/64 support.

Is there a compiler available for Opteron you can use?

hey man , why don't u try RedHat Enterrpise Linux (RHEL) 3.0 AS/WS, works for itanium and amd 64 platforms ... more info here : http://www.redhat.com/software/rhel/comparison/

i am looking for a real redhat version like the as3 for dual opterons but i am looking for the "free version" (wink wink)

White Box Enterprise Linux 3.0 (a recompile of the RHEL sources) is also available for AMD64:
