ok, what the heck is wrong here?

i fresh installed win2k pro (again) installed the 7.17 detonator and DX8...now when i run winamp with directsound my mp3 (hack up) jump from here to there and the same goes with DIVX (dont sync) movies, just like that...anyone know why?

ok, i changed to nvidias detonator 6.31 and have still the same problem with divx and mp3...has something to do with directX acceleration....is there a directx8 uninstaller?

am using SBLive 1024!...yes i know what you are thinkin' smile
but, do you think this can be coz my drives are fragmented like hell? smile
i had no problem with things like this before, than just suddenly...blah!
though i am defragmenting my drives for past 3 days now! it never stops! smile
Thanks for the link cuke, found some nice things there. None of them helped the divx probs but useful anyway. smile

Well, om my way to fight the problem again!

Silent,
Make sure your drivers are WHQL Certified, especially the SB LIVE! drivers.

Apply all patches, especially the "AMD AGP Miniport driver"
