What VIA driver to use

HELP
I just got a Duron system (KT7-RAID) and Direct3d performance is terrible. Its a real slideshow. I have a GeForceDDR, and have tried 6.31, 6.47 and 7.17. (use dx8)
Can this be some VIA driver issue?
what VIA driver am I suppose to use.

Well you could have used search but...
Here is my setup and it works well 4 me even with a lmae TNT2 Ultra:
VIA 4-in-1 ver. 4.25a
NVIDIA: 6.34
AGP patch
AGP Reg Patch (may not be necesary)
Set RAM to PC100
