I have a Linksys BEFW1154 Wireless-B Router, which is connected to a Athlon XP running Windows XP using NTFS and networking with a Realtek RTL8193 wired network card. I also have a Pentium 2 with Windows XP and a Linksys WPC11 v2.7 wireless card. Finally, I have a Sony Vaio with a P3 with a PC Linksys WPC11 v4 wireless network card. This works perfectly as it is, which is hard to believe, considering I have little skill when it comes to setting up physical components of anything.

The Vaio has Red Hat 7 or 8 installed, which doesn't recognize the Linksys wireless network card. The Athlon has NTFS, and I'm not buying PartitionMagic until I'm positive I'm not getting it for Christmas The P2 has FAT32, but FIPS gives me a error (which I could reproduce if asked) and I don't know of any other freeware partitioning tools. The laptop, other than being dual-boot, has no other abnormalities.

Now for the question... (drumroll) On which of these computers would it be easiest to install Red Hat 7 (or mabye it's 8 ), put in a compatible network card (wireless or wired, I'm desperate), and connect to the Linksys wireless network? I've looked at the Red Hat HCL, but it only accentuated that fact that I really don't like hardware (which would make me a Real Programmer, except I can't do that either ). I live in Iowa, so WEP encryption isn't a top priority either. Any help is appreciated.

Edit: Oh yeah, I have a Motorola SURFBoard cable modem. I have no idea whether compatibility issues can come from a modem, but I'm not buying another one unless I have to.
