Hi!
I get Messages through my Lan, send by a win98 user with winpopup. How can I answer his messeges?

make sure your messenger service is turned on.

from a command promtp type:
netsend ip/putername/workgroup messagegoeshere

Thx...but this came up:
NET SEND {Name|*|/DOMAIN[:Name]|/USERS}
And I can type in what ever I want!
Wrong syntax!!!!

Well, just find out what his computer's name is, and then type:

net send "computername" "message"

like so...

net send pc25 This is a test message

np. Just so you know, you can replace "computername" with "username" or "IP of computer" or "domain" (instead of domain, I just use * to send out a message to everyone on the network at that time). Ekstreme had it right, but I think that the "/" marks threw you off.

You can also send messages by:

right click "my computer" | manage | right click "computer management | "all tasks" | "send console message" |

thanks alecstaar but messager is enable however everytime i type netsend, all i get it 'netsend' is not reconised as an internal command, operational program or batch file
