news 28 Posted February 23, 2013 Today at SCALE 11X: Keynote: Matthew Garrett, “The Secure Boot Journey.†Matthew Garrett takes us on a travelogue on the path the Linux community successfully negotiated with the entire PC industry, finding common ground. The not-to-be-missed keynote is at 10 am in the LaJolla Room. Linux Beginners Class starts at 9 am in room BelAir. The two-day class teaches new Linux users how to install Linux on their hardware and how to navigate their systems. It also teaches how to negotiate the nuances of the Free/Open Source Software world. SCALE: The Next Generation: The SCALE:TNG track starts today in the Marina room. A wide assortment of presentations by youth for youth are going on during the course of the day and will continue on Sunday.
