Media player 7 beta/How can I go back to media player 6?

I just installed winme final and I hate media player 7, how do I go back to 6?

No i just did a fresh install of winme only, it installed 7 beta on its own, there is no 6.4

You can't. The installation instructions for the beta7 player were very explicit in that regard. Since the final version is due out Monday (or so), I would just hold on and upgrade to the final instead. That version may have an uninstall option that kills two birds with one stone...

if you look in your program files directory, under media player, you will find the executable mplayer2.exe, that is Media Player 6.4! It appears Microsoft left the old version also....And I use it!

But before you do have a look at this page http://www.microsoft.com/windows/mediaplayer/en/download/Playerv7.asp
It quite clearly states NOT to install earlier versions of media player over the top of 7.0beta. Me thinks you should definantly wait until the full version comes out.
