Everytime I startup Internet Explorer 5 (the original one that
installed with Windows 2000 pro final , I get a message box that says
that " mcipcsv.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows
you will need to restart the program. I can browse normally with no
more errors but if I close IE5 and the reopen it again i get same
message.

Just Today I started getting the same type of msg when I open outlook express, I get
msimn.exe throwing the same error. Does anyone know what is going on? The only program I installed recently is MSN IM 2.1 . I am thinking this broke outlook express.

That msipcsv.exe file caused me a lot of grief. It came with GetRight as part of it's Aureate adware stuff, and made IE crash so often. Removing the adware part of the program cleared it all up.

For some info on this, check out http://grc.com/optout.htm
