Adobe Illustrator 8.0 can not run.

Recommended Posts

I've send the same topic afewdays before but it wasn't the good solutoin. I explain again my problem.

I've installed Adobe Illustrator 8.0, and everythingis ok. But when I wanna launch it, it says : "Adobe Illustrator can not run".

I've tried installing it under a fresh new win2k install but nothing changed.

I'm under Win2k french version 2195.1 no limit. I've got 5 HD, 1 IDE-FAT32 and 4 SCSI-NTFS. Illustrator is installed on IDE and Win2ks (old and fresh one) are on NTFS.

Plez, if you can launch Illustrator, tell me yourconfiguration. Thks.

I've got exactly the same problem and i have seen it on several computers with different configurations. So I believe this comes from the software.

I didn't look for a patch yet so I don't know how to fix this, what I can tell is that you're not the only one !!

I've got it running on a Compaq Deskpro P550 with an AGP Matrox G200, as well as a Gateway G(somehting)400, with an AGP Voodoo 3 2000.

No problems at all...
