Illustrator can not run.

I've just installed Illustrator 8.0 on my computer but each time I launch it, it says "Illustrator can not run".

Have a solution ????

I just completed a fresh install of win2k with no other OS previously installed. I then installed Illustrator 8 (along with various other Adobe products) and all of them work perfectly. The only program I heard of not working in win2k is Photoshop 5
