softimage 3.8 and win2000

Having problems getting this going - MS Loopback adaptor (in it's own properties)will not accept an IP address of 127.0.01 (addresses starting with 127 are not valid> reserved for loopback address)

Any other tips to install welcome

This kinda is a "warez" version if you are using the loop back device, I suspect.... If not SoftImage has excellent support.
Anyways - its 127.0.0.1 not 01 and it works fine in win2k all versions as we use it to test firewall configurations.
