Many of the games listed as compatible with NT4 require the "dx5 patch".

Where do I get this patch.
Does it require running DX5? If so, where do I get that. And, how do I know which version of DX I currently run?

Thanks

Hey Jdulmage welcome back !

Not that I thought you where gone for good..
(you said that about 10 times wink )

Anyway, cephraim is talking about *NT4*. There is no DX8 for NT...

If I remember correctly SP3 gives you DX3.

Who can give us that old patch ? I have been looking through my old backups...no to be found..

It would be nice playing some cl***ic games at work during christmas...

that's really dumb then that there is no DX8 for NT...why wouldn't DX8 NT Version work in NT4 if it works in 2000?

Folks,

Thanks. I ended up finding it.
The file is called nt4dx5.zip and you can find it easily with any search engine.

Now I've just got to get some games that are compatible!

Any recommendations for any network-capab le racing games that run on NT4?

Thanks again

come on, you know better than that! They made a lot of changes in the move to 2000, including the driver model, plug-and-play, etc.
