As digital technology advances at breakneck speed, images are circulating quicker than ever before. But what is the status of the image in the digital era? In The Digital Wunderkammer, art historian Hubert Burda examines the "iconic turn."

"You were the first major media CEO to take us, and the internet, seriously!" says Netscape Co-Founder and Silicon Valley investor Marc Andreessen about Hubert Burda.

Hubert Burda is a German art historian and publisher. He is known as a major advocate of the iconic turn, focusing on the vast impact that images have on communications, society and culture in our digital age.

He studied History of Art and Sociology at the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich.

Hubert Burda is the owner and general partner of Hubert Burda Media.
