Drakan and win2k lockups

My system locks while playing Drakan...athlon 750....asus K7M....512 mb name brand ram...Asus v6600 deluxe AGP 32 mb video card/with latest driver....30.3 maxtor HHD 7200 rpm....latest Bios....MS Game Patch....Drakan 445 Patch....pc tweaked for max performance. Any help greatly appreciated...thanks

I downloaded the latest driver for my video card and now can't play at all! Screen jumps and I have to reboot to get out. CPU temp is good. I have read the other postings with no luck and am thinking about flashing my BIOS. Any ideas?
