Hi, I have somewhat of a problem and I'm not sure if anyone else has the same problem or if there's anything I can do about it. My system is:

Dual Celeron 400s
Abit BP6
Windows 2000
160 MB RAM
Voodoo 3 2000

When ever I try to run Halflife (Counter-strike, but it's the same thing) with both CPUs "on" the game won't play at all, it crashes, won't load, won't refresh server listing and several other things, I got it to run once and the game speed was double the normal speed like everything had been speed up. But when I "turn off" one of the CPUs the game runs fine.. I'm sure some of you may be thinking well, then what's the problem if it plays with one CPU on then go play, but I'd rather not have to reboot every time I want to play Halflife just to disable a CPU. Has anyone else had a problem like this or know what might be going on??

Is it just happening with HL?
or does it happen with other games?

I have same mobo but 433's and everything runs fine.

On bootup, does it say cpu 400 , 2 processors?

I would check your settings in the cpusoft menu in bios.

There is another topic listed somewhere on this msgboard that may be related..

aah..here it is..Check this out.

"Games run too fast in Win2k"

Might help

The startup up says CPU 400, 2 Processors..
I found and downloaded TestCPU and it says it's clocked at 401 and Task Manager says they're both there.. so I don't believe anything is wrong with my setup as no other program gives me this problem everything else (games in included) work perfectly.

BTW Rorek...

What bios are you using for your BP6?

I am using the qq-beta bios.

Go to www.bp6.com for updates and news concerning your motherboard ;-)

Well, I finaly got around to updating my Bios, so it's now QQ, but still no luck.. it downloads the servers to update (Counter-strike) the screen that shows which server it's currently updating appears for a fraction of a second and then dissapears and nothing happens..
