Does anyone know when they are going to fix quake3, is it a driver issue? or is it quake3 issue? What causes the darkness in quake3. Right now i play on vertex, but i rather play in lightmap and see the game the same way i saw it when i was using win98 se.

Veddar: Get a Life. I love people like you who can trash others behind the cover of their computer screens. You didn't have to respond. Grow up.

stephp: I think the solution IS in the archives but all you need to do is change this line in your q3config:

r_ignorehwgamma 1

Your line probably has a zero in it. Once you set it to 1 you won't be able to use the slider bar in Q3 to change the gamma. You'll have to change this line in the config to manually make the game brighter:

r_gamma 1.212500

Try playing with that number to see what's best for you. I think mine is at 1.5...not sure on that though.
