Ok, did anyone EVER figure out how to get this working under win 2k professional?

I would really hate to have to format, install win 98, then re-install win 2k pro.

#1. When installing, if I choose do not install direct x, then it installs, but doesn't run, due to some weird error. If I choose to install direct x, it errors out before installing.

#2. Do I need the newest patch 1.08?

#3. Is there anything else we should know, as there are people out there who want to install this.

Hi Guys,

Here's how I managed to get C&C:RA to work on W2K Professional.

Install using the appcompt tool, then you must install the 1.08 patch using a different operating system.

I've noticed that the 1.08 patch gives different results under W2K and '95R2. When I copied the pre-patched '95 executable and game.dat it started to work perfectly.

Have fun now.
