Old problem scenario I am sure....Voodoo2 & Win2k.

Recommended Posts

Ok, I am not going to ask if the Voodoo2 works with D3D or anything like that. All I want is it to play Half-Life in Win2k...maybe Quake3. It can use OpenGL, GLIDE, or some sort of Voodoo Magic (pun intended). I have tried the Toaste drivers, and the 3dfx 1.02 betas..(although I believe these things were pretty much identical). I ran through the uninstall procedure as well. However, I always get this error (Error in trying to map memory to map mem). Know I know that a hidden device part of the Voodoo2 is Map Mem, so that makes sense. Oh and Quake3 gets an I/O error right after the little blue startup window.

Thanks,

Have you tried using the hacked NT 4.0 drivers? They don't have any D3D support, but they work great for Half-Life. My SLI runs like a champ.

2 12MB Creative Labs Voodoo2s

If you can't find the hacked drivers (I think 3dfx took them down) I can send them to you.
