Quake2 CTF laggy in win2000. help!

Quake2 CTF is laggy in win2000. I play through my network card connected to a isdn router.I do not experience this lag in win98se at the same site. Are there some network settings that can be changed to fix this problem? Does anybody else have this problem with frame drops online? Single plater Quake2 plays smooth in win2000, there is a problem with going online, though.

I played a little Q2 and I would have to say that my connect was more stable in Win2K than not. I am a much bigger fan of Q3, and it's a ton more stable with a stronger connect than in Win98. I have an Eicon Diva LAN ISDN modem (router).
