Direct X 7.0

Whats the deal with direct x 7.0? Can you not install it in windows 2000? When I try to install it it tells me that it doesnt work with my version of windows. Is there another version somewhere else that I can get?

Plese do a search from now on before posting and you will find that W2K already has DX7.0a installed when W2K is installed. If you try and install DX7.0a you will get that MSG. Also if you try to install a lower version of DX then you will mess you W2K installation up, forcing you to have to Re-install W2K.

I know this from personal experience.
