Why are my games running SO much slower under Win2000?!?

Hi,

I've just installed Win2000 (dual boot with Win98SE) and everything runs *so much* slower under win2K... 3DMark runs slow & crashes all the time, unreal crawls
compared to WIN98SE - 2D applications as well.

Is this normal? Please help!
My system:
Athlon 650
Gigabyte 7IX
Voodoo3 3000
128 MB PC100 Samsung GH RAM
!3 GB WD UDMA HD
Antec 300W Power supply

I've installed voodoo 3 beta drivers for win2k, this didn't help either...
