I looked under the compatibility guide on this site, and it shows that Kings Quest 8 works, but some problems exist in loading games.

However i cannot even start a new game. I am running Win 2000 ver 5. build 2195. After a succesful installation, when i attempt to start a new game, the program gives me a message saying that there is not enough disk space and to free up 1094 megs and try again...
i have over 3 gigs of space on that drive.

something wrong here.

i have 128 ram, a riva tnt2 ultra card (have newest drivers, 3.7.6) awe64 card, p3 600, and abit be6 motherboard.

Any help appreciated.
