Has anyone figured out how to keep it from crashing in Windows 2000? It's really disappointing that the only game that doesn't work for me is this one and it's my favorite. frown

It may be that the game just won't work with 2000. The game is kind of shabby in it's contruction as it is. What kind of video card are you using?

I'm using a Xentor 32 (Riva TNT2 Ultra). You're right about the game may just not work. As a matter of fact, I emailed Eidos Interactive today to see if they had ANY plans to patch the game to make it more stable on 2000 and they said they no longer will support the game. That is really unfortunate considering that the next consumer OS after Millennium will be based on the NT kernel. frown Chances are, it won't work then either.

My experience with FFVII was that Eidos didn't even bother to include Win98 compatibilty. It always crashed a few hours into the game and the last time I checked the website they said they would not issue a patch for Win98. I think the only way this game coould ever be played in W2K or NT4 would be to use a playstation emulator and with the PS version of the game.
