RC2 seem smoother than Win98 but its !#@%*& hard to see what to blast away at!!!!
The gamme slider seems not to work at all - any workarounds?
BTW: Det 356 drivers seem to be broken - had to go back to 352 to beat the hanging prob after ID logo startup.
Cheers,
RichardW

Try doing this..
on the option of the game..to adjust the brightnness.. move it.. to the left.. all the way down.. and then slowly.. move it up.. it will clarify a little.. not much.. but at least is playable.
Try using power strip to do a config for Q3 to play .

Try this in Q3:
r_ignorehwgamma 1
(might be "cg_ignorehwgamma 1" now in 1.09)
Then restart. You cannot now adjust the brighness using the in-game controls, but you can then use Powerstrip to change the gamma, or use your monitor brightness controls.

I had the same problem that you had as well.
Forget everything you read above.
All you need to do is add the following line to your config file in the baseq folder.
seta r_intensity "2.2"
It works like a champ!
Enjoy!
