i am using 3.66 TNT driver and the default audio driver. It seems Quake 3 will lock up quite a bit, but not the whole screen. A small part of the screen near the pic of the one of the players would still be redrawed, sound do come out. Then a few secs later the game will refresh itself. kinda like lag. When entering the console to check for error:

....sound initialization..........initializing DirectSound locked hardware. ok ....... Sound Info ..... Sound system is muted. 1 stereo 32768 samles 16 samplebits 1 submission_chunk 22050 speed 0x94b0050 dma buffer Forcing all sounds to 8 bit No background file ............. loading dll file ui. Failed to load dll. looking for qvm. loading vm file vm/ui.qvm. vm file ui compiled to 902626 bites of code .......
What is really weird is that when it locks up if i bring up the console and then close it. The game will be ok. but then it will lock up again in a few secs.. I don't know what else i should do? Plz Help ............
