HELP ME PLEASE!! Quake3 + Geforce +horrible refresh rates

I am running 2195.3 and I have an asus v6600 deluxe
The Nvidia 3.65 win2000 drivers work good, but for some reason my refresh rates at any resolution in quake3 are stuck at a horrible 60 Hz. I have tried fiddling with the desktop refresh rates to get higher than 60 Hz in quake3, but no luck, I also tried the registry tweak to enable additional settings, but no luck there either. HELP!!

you have to edit the inf for the driver before you install and remove the refresh rates that you dont want to play in. if you need more info icq me at 18995872
