Interstate '81 problems?

Hi! I was wondering if anybody had tried Interstate '81 with Win2k.. I cant make it work but I also have a .... what do you say.... a lesser version of the game... But please reply anyways

Can't say I've played Interstate '81 but I do have interstate '82

and it works fine.

Ok ok ok! Interstate '82.. Sorry!

But still, i just can't make the game run.. It runs fine until the game itself is being loaded (you see a huge explosion with the word Interstate '82 in it).. Thats when it hangs..

There is a known issue with the "lesser" version of this game. Try hitting the [enter] key or spacebar a few times when you think it's hung.

Well, I know about the blank screens once in a while and that you have to press [enter] to skip them... But the problem is when the level is loading... I see a picture which says "Interstate 82" and there is an explosion. But this is where it hangs..
