When I start the Microsoft game "Pandora's Box", the screen immediately freezes. The mouse pointer stops moving, the keyboard is ignored, even Ctrl-Alt-Del is ignored. I have to power cycle the machine to get it back.
Platform: Toshiba Satellite 4030 CDT, NT 4.0 Workstation, SP5
My Question -- any suggestions what I need to do to get this game to work?
Other relevant info:
The demo for Pandora's Box worked fine. I downloaded it, installed it, and ran it with no problems at all.
I have played Civilization: Call to Power on this machine as well. It uses DirectX, and the only problem I had was an occasional lockup during game play.
