Damn ICQ Ads

Geez... the past couple ICQ versions, I've gotten a little bar below all my message boxes with ADS in it!! I hate ads, and this really pisses me off...
Is there an earlier version that doesn't have these ads? Or if there a way to get rid of them?

There is a way to get rid of them... but it just replaces the ads with a message. If you want I still have ICQ99b, i could send it to you.

So how do you get rid of them? They are truly pathetic. I always preferred ICQ over IM simply because there were never any advertisements in it. I'm starting to lose all respect for ICQ now!

Anyways, how do you stop it?
