When you buy memory, how do you tell if that memory will only use 1 bank? I have 4 DIMM slots on my motherboard and for DIMM 3 and 4, I have to use the memory that will use only 1 memory bank. Here is what the manual say about DIMM slots and their banks assignment:
DIMM 1: Bank 0, 1
DIMM 2: Bank 2, 3
DIMM 3: Bank 4, 5
DIMM 4: Bank 4, 5

Here is what the manual say about DIMM 3 and 4: "As the DIMM 3 and DIMM 4 share the same bank of 4 and 5, please do not install those RAM modules that will occupy two banks into these two slots simultaneously..."

I got it. After talking to people from Crucial, the single sided memory module has .8T (8 chips on one side of the stick) instead of .16T (16 chips total on both sides of the stick).
