help! raid problems

hi,at the moment i have just set up a raid 0, array 2x20 gig ibm,s,i have win98 installed,and will be dual booting with win2ks,and nt4s when i get some more ram,my problem is
when i go to boot off the win98 floppy,then select start pc with crom surport,things goe okay until it gets to a point where it say"scanning pci bus with mechanism 2"and thats where it stays i can see the floppy light on.and i,ve got away for ten minutes but still the same message "useing pci mechanism 2 to scan pci bus,anyone know whats happening,or what i need to do?

It sounds like you are using a RAID controller that isn't supported by the Win98 boot disk (surprise). Usually, you aren't going to find much in the way of good quality SCSI support for Win9x installation purposes. It's been a while since I have installed Win9x on anything, but I can't really recall having the option to install third party SCSI drivers at boot for installation. Then again, I didn't have the need to either.
