dualbooting win2k win9x with 4 part @ 2 gigs, somehow, for no apparent reason my folders get strange names and become unaccessable, r,x&w. only prob i seem to have is that my v3 and 3com nic share irq 12.
pretty plz help someone? if i come to think of more info ill update.

oh..and the folders that are renamed are rendered useless.
format *: (yea it has hit every partition so far)

hmm I had this once, turned out someone didn't like my FTP, so uploaded a virus to me. Things went all crazy with folder names and there was no way to remove them all.

thx..tried antivirus scan with f-prot and mcafee, didnt find anything however..thx for the tip anyway

fixed it (well..working well for the last couple o` days)
it only took to kill all the partitions reformat and reinstall the whole thang :=/
