raid hd's wont shutdown

Ok....I've set up an array of 2 ata/66 drives set at raid-0....But now these drives dont operate in low lowermode...ie when my system goes to standby, these drives dont shutdown. How can i resolve this problem??
I am using an abit hotrod card btw (and i live in CA so i need them to shutoff)
