HELPP MEE PLEASEE!! Ive got the sims 2 double delux and i cant play it cuz it wont let me download Directx 9!! Ergghh!!! Ive tried to download it from so many places and it just doesnt work!! Ive also tried to download Directx 10 and THAT dosnt work, so im quite bummed really. A minute ago i tried to download Directx 9 from Brothersoft, i'll show you my stages:
I clicked on Download (obviously). Then another page loaded and said thank you for downloading Directx 9 and below it was, Server 1 Brothersoft(US) Click to download.
So i clicked it and it askes me if i want to run it or save it, so i click run then a grey box pops up saying: The publisher could not verified. Are you sure you want to run this software? I click run. Then ANOTHER grey box pops up and says: C:\Document and Settings\sophie\local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\content.IE5\IZ864NIO\directx_9c_Dec04sdk[1].exe is not a valid Win32.
HUHHHH?????!!!! What does that mean? Please help me i really wanna play it, and i payed like 30 pounds for it! Plz help xx

1. ONLY download DirectX from Microsoft. Not some strange site.

2. If you are using Windows XP then it does not support DirectX 10 (you can't download it anyway it comes with Vista/7)

3. If you have a crappy video card then the game will not work. It likely MUST support DX8/9.

it still wont install, ive just tried from microsoft and the same grey boxes apper???? Please help! Its worked on the other computers ive installed it to :'( xx

How do i check which graphics card i have??

So click on the Windows Start button and select RUN.

In the OPEN line type in dxdiag and then click the OK button.

Click on the Display tab and note the GPU Chipset and post here once again.
