Final Fantasy VII on Windows 2000 Pro SP4

When I run Final Fantasy VII in Windows 2K Pro SP4, after applying nVidia patch 1.02, The Saints Hi-Res patch and MGP, the game crashes when I press menu button. Also it crashes after my first battle. Please tell me how do I fix it and run the game successfully.
My specs: E5200 @ 2.5GHz, Intel GMA 3100 and 1GB RAM
