I just recently installed SuSe 8.2 all seems to have went ok except one thing. When my computer boots up the little welcome music hangs up
I have no idea where to look to find out why or what I have to do to solve the problem. Is there anyway I can simply disable the little bootup tune. all else seems to work fine. all hardware is detected with exception of my printer which I can install manually. any and all help will be apreciated
thank you

Hey,
Under KDE in SuSE 8.2 (i am also using 8.2) you have the KDE Control Panel - choose sounds and multimedia and alter the sytem sounds - you can change/disable the start up sound in there somewhere - i'd love to give you a walkthru (but my uni uses Windows)
what sort of sound set up are you using? on board or PCI?
