Last year the industry was expecting Intel to roll out the Nehalem
architecture based i5 processors for the mainstream market by the beginning
of Summer, 2009. The Computex was thought to be one giant showing of
motherboards supporting the upcoming LGA-1156 products, but changes in
competition and the rough economic times look to have made Intel shelve its
plans to release a new midrange monster.
