I have a new razer copperhead and i tried to install it normall on my windows XP SP2 PC.
i did what the instructions said. plugged in the mouse, the pc detected it, then isntalled the software from the CD.

However whenever i enable precision pointing (mouse acceleration) in windows and in the software (both do the same thing) the mouse goes weird. If i drag the mouse to any corner its like theres an input problem for both the axis as it has a stairs like effect only going horizontally or vertically. If i move the mouse really fast its un noticable but if im trying to do slow movements its really hard to move diagonally.

Anybody know what this problem could be? Iv updated firmware and drivers. used windows drivers and still a problem.

I know its not a defective mouse because iv installed it at work and the mouse acceleration works perfectly. (windows setting and software)

Iv tried removing drivers from the computer and trying to reinstall but it just doesnt work on my pc :@

plx could someone help asap. Thanks

Fixed it.

i updated to the latest firmware. apparently the way i did it was wrong so it wasnt updating the firmware.

but that seems to have fixed it. not fully thought, althought its not noticable. when you move really slowely it still does the stairs effect but maybe only for a few pixels and then moves agin normally. Its not noticable ingame though. works perfectly ingame
