Having done a search of the forums using "viper 770" as my search terms, I turned up some posts that make we want to ask:

Does the Viper 770 Ultra 32mb work fully under Win2k?

Some posts indicate otherwise.

It will replace my i740 in the list below.

TIA cool

Mine worked fine. I could even overclock it...

BTW, I would recommend the 5.22 or 5.30 drivers as the TNT2U will lose steam under the 6.x drivers.

I have a the V770-32, just the non-ultra. I also work just fine in Win2k. The 6.13 drivers rock my card, though. But I also flashed my card with the NVidia reference bios. After I did that, I got an extra 5% performance boost across the board. So if you know anything about BIOS upgrading, I'd highly recommend it.

Good Luck

I have a Viper 770 Ultra also in a win2kPro machine. It runs apps and games (open gl and d3d) very well. It does peak out at about 1280x1024x16 in some of the newest games, but what can you expect from an older chipset.

I agree the best driver set for it is probably 5.30 or 5.32 reference drivers.
