Hi,

Philipp Sadleder and me are proud to announce the availability of GNOME
Scan 0.6.2. This is maintainance release providing several fixes while
0.8 release has been postponed.

GNOME Scan aim's to make scan as easy for user and application
developers. This is done through a library providing hardware support
(through SANE) and ready-to use dialog just like GtkPrint does for
printing. GNOME Scan uses GEGL for handling image data and processing,
allowing to processe quickly huge image.

This release includes several fixes in the Gimp plugin, improved SANE
support and stability fix.

As lead developer of GNOME Scan, i want to thanks Philipp Sadleder for
this release. His work on triaging bugs and maintaining 0.6 branch
allowed this release. Development for next major release is slowly
ongoing in trunk using C/GObject and vala. Contribution are very
welcome.

Regards,
Étienne.
