Hey guys,
i know the game is old, but i wanted to play it again recently. problem is i can start the game and can play a few moments till i get a bluescreen. i have WinXP with SP3 and allready installed the patch for max payne. and i know whats the problem but still i cant fix it. if i disable sound the game works like charm, so it must be some kind of conflict with the audiodriver. since i have onboard sound (via ac97 i think)and there arent really driver updates for onboard sound i cant help myself. hope you can.

Turn down audio acceleration.

Also if there aren't newer drivers then you can always try older drivers.
