I need a suggestion for an ATX motherboard for an Athlon that is Win2K compatible (fully) and has no known problems with the following hardware:
AGP Voodoo 3 3000
Creative PCI512 Sound Card
Lucent Win Modem
Western Digital ATA66 13.6 Gig Caviar HD
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have received 550 Athlon chip from a family member who upgraded to a 750 and since I am currently running a K6-2 300 I am eager to change the board and upgrade.

I just bought my Abit KA7 and really like it. Had no problems at all with the install. Everything is very stable.
Make sure you have at least a 250W power supply.

I recommend the Asus K7V (Via KX133 chipset).
It is fast and stable, even at 1000 MHz.
Don't get any board with the AMD 750 chipset (like the K7M), they are old.
If you can, wait for the Via KT133 chipset to come out (July/August?). It will support the newer Athlon socket models (thunderbird), which will be just faster.
