Good Evening
 
There is a lot of somewhat half-baked information regarding the different factors contributing to Intel's Core i7 supply power, namely, which parts are powered from where and how all of this contributes to TDP. Moreover, the term TDP has been somewhat transient lately. leading to new definitions that are not exactly what the older terminology encompassed.
 
We have gone through Intel data sheets, and asked their engineers a few direct questions - to which we got direct answers. And then we put 2 and 2 together to show that 240W power draw under nominal conditions can still fit into a 130W TDP.
