Can someone tell me who Ubuntu is particularly appealing to? I mean, is it a system for gamers or maybe people who are more tech-based cause it's a linux OS? I'm trying to do research for a class and really don't know much about it. Anyone who knows anything would be a big help!! Thankssss!

It's mainly geared for Windows users moving to Linux but it's pretty much just like any other Linux distribution.


"Gamers" don't use Linux. "Gamers" use Windows.

Yes you can play games on emulators (NES/SNES/PSX, Vmware) and you can play some games in Wine/Cedega but for Windows games it's best to just use Windows.


Usually the wikipedia pages for each Linux distro gives a good description of what each is about......
