Me and a friend use a shared internet connection. I use a Belkin USB Wireless adapter to connect to the Internet on his router, which is seperate from my LAN router. But the only way it works is when I disable my LAN. If I connect to the wireless network while my LAN is enabled I won't get Interent. When I let Windows try to resolve it, I get the message saying to disable the other active connection. Once I disable my LAN I get Interenet. Never seen this before.
I'm running Vista Ult x64. I use windows to control the wireless, not the Belkin Utility, which doesn't seem to exist anyhow with x64.
I tried setting my LAN router with different ip's and subnet mask but it didn't do anything.
Any ideas on how I can get my LAN and Internet over wireless working at the same time?

TIA

If XP could do it, for sure Vista can too, with a little more research I found out how to set it up.

Wirless network (internet connection) Set it to Public and use it's default gateway.

Wired network(LAN) Set it to Private and do not set a default gateway.

Works like a charm
