Greetings to All!

i have downloaded the Rtlinux/Free and Vanilla kernel (2.4.19) from kernel.org jst for trying Real time OS

I was going through the entire process given in INSTALL

i.e

make mrproper->patch the kernel->make config->make dep->make bzImage->make modules->make modules_install->copy the bzImage to /boot dir.

then booted thru RTL->make menuconfig->make->make devices->make install.

now i can see a folder newly created in /usr/ called rtlinux

so happily when i am trying to start rtlinux service from

/etc/rc.d/init.d/rtlinux start

i am getting the error saying

Then the pc hangs

I have to reboot the PC

what could be going wrong,
