* Only those able to add a text file to their FTP can signup. This
not only prevents spammers, but also stops people from making fake
accounts and posts on behalf of other sites.
* tech seed doesn't use ratings to rank posts, it uses "Trust". The
Trust system means that in order to rank highly on the front page
you must first have posted enough articles to become trustworthy.
Trust also affects how many people receive your automatic emails.
While theoretically, everyone will eventually become trustworthy,
it at least weeds out those who are willing to ignore guidelines
to get more views.
* Zero tolerance policy on spammers. Those caught spamming or
deliberately ignoring guidelines will first have their trust reset
to 0 and receive an official warning. Those who repeatedly ignore
the guidelines will be banned permanently.
