Help: logitech quickcam/messenger webcam problem

I've been having a problem with my webcam. Whenever I use the logitech software or msn messenger to use the video/picture function, the image always fuzzy. (Looks like tv static or somthing) But What I need, is for the picture to come out as clear as possible without the fuzz. I tried using other webcams but i still get the same problem, any suggestions as to how to correct it??
